perlawanan dari Nick Heidfeld dan Fernando Alonso. Bahkan, kedua pembalap sempat bergantian
memimpin lomba setelah Vettel masuk pit stop pada lap ke-30.

Namun, begitu Heidfeld dan Alonso bergantian masuk pit stop, Vettel langsung melesat jauh
meninggalkan lawan-lawannya tersebut. Bahkan 19 lap tersisa, juara bertahan unggul sekira 9,6
detik dari Lewis Hamilton, yang tak lama kemudian kembali masuk ke pit stop, satu lap berikutnya.
Kini, giliran Jenson Button mencoba mengejar kecepatan mobil Vettel. Sayang, usaha pembalap McLaren itu nyaris sama dengan Hamilton. Setelah melalui balapan sejauh 56 lap, Vettel menjadi pembalap pertama yang menyentuh garis finis. Button harus puas finis di peringkat kedua.
Duel seru juga terjadi antara Mark Webber dan Heidfeld, yang memperebutkan tempat ketiga. Beruntung, pembalap Lotus Renault GP finis diurutan ketiga.
