National Photographer Reflects on Besse Cooper’s Regaining Her Title as World’s Oldest Person

NEW YORK, NY, June 24, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ — Besse Cooper of Monroe, Georgia, regained her title this week as the world’s oldest. National photographer, Paul Mobley was in Georgia just last week to photograph Cooper for her 115th birthday, which is in August. Cooper is 114 years and 229 days, according to Guinness World Records.
Mobley reflects, “Sometimes I wonder what people of this age must think of all this attention they get for leading healthy productive lives to the extent that they live longer? Maybe it’s stressful or a bit unusual but I guess most accept it. At any rate, none of these things seemed to concern Besse the day we met for our shoot.”

Mobley is the only national photographer who has spent time with Cooper and it is clear to see that their time together was impactful. “When I photograph subjects like Besse, I always try to consider what kind of story their faces will tell. You can learn a lot about a person by looking closely at them. Everything from the way their eyes peer out at the world, to the arch of their brow, right down to the way their smile lights up.”

Google has launched a new picture service, Business Photos from Google. According to experts, the new service will enable improved promotion for companies as they can show the interior of their business. Photos taken will appear on the Google Places website, showing a 360 degree image of your interior. This will be particularly beneficial to people searching for a restaurant or club, as they will get a sneak preview of the inside.
The photos will be taken by professional photographers using Street View technology. The listings for Google Places are the first results to be displayed during a search. The service is currently only available to businesses in a few areas of the United States, but will be expanding availability to other countries including Australia, Japan, France and the United Kingdom.
To help Google decide where to offer their service to in the future, they are asking businesses to post their own photos to their page on Google Places, and submit an application for a professional photograph to the Google Places website.
The photos are only taking photos of business types which are frequently searched for, which will include restaurants, hotels, clubs, shops, salons and gyms. Well known chain stores, medical and legal establishments are not being photographed.

2- Put USB drive on USB hub
3- Power UP
4- Enter BIOS through F2
5- Go to the "Boot" main menu
6- Left to the Harddrive you will see a "+" (plus" mark).
7- With the arrows select it (should be white).
8- Hit enter and voilà

In case of USB DVD/CDROM the methord is almost same, just change the boot option to cd rom



I did not want to put up new thread and leave the old one hanging around.So edited the initial thread . The problem was lack of documenation & acers ignorant support engg . So i'm sharing exp heree which might help others

In most ACER laptops i have seen "BOOT FROM USB" missing , Which is a must nowadays

These are the models i know so far..if your model does not support please add it here

Boot options available in ACER laptops ( No USB, No PCMCIA)
1) Floppy
2) Hard disk
3) CD-Rom/DVD
4) Network Boot

I think we should form a group and ask ACER to release new Bios update which supports "Boot from USB" Funtion

I have not seen any one complaining this so far . So thought of putting up a thread

Anda yang kesulitan untuk mengartikan kata atau artikel halaman web dari bahasa Inggris ke bahasa Indonesia tentunya sudah sering menggunakan Google Translate. Modifikasi System Shutdown
 
Mungkin sobat pada jenuh pada saat mau shutdown pc/ komputer, kali ini kita akan mencoba bagaimana modifikasi system shutdown pada pc / komputer. Baiknya pada system operasi windows XP. Langsung saja pada caranya :

1. Klik Kanan pada Dekstop, kemudian pilih New => shortcut
2. Akan muncul jendela pop up create shortcut, pada tab type the location oh the item, ketikkan : shutdown.exe –s –t 00
 * Keterangan :
a) shutdown.exe(spasi)-s(spasi)-t(spasi)00
b) 00 = waktu tunggu shutdown dalam detik , Jika diisi 20, maka windows akan menunggu selama 20 detik (hitungan mundur)
3. Klik Next jika sudah. Pada jendela berikutnya, berikan nama untuk shortcut. Misal KILL ME PLZ lanjutkan klik tombol Finish
4. Agar tampilan shortcut lebih menarik gantilah icon shortcut, caranya dengan mengklik kanan shortcut, kemudian pilih properties, klik tab shortcut kemudian klik tombol change icon, cari icon yang disukai, klik OK jika sudah.
* Keterangan :
Jika mau isengin temen, bisa ganti Icon Shutdownnya dengan memakai icon Mozilla atau yang lainnya yang sekira nya sering di buka.
 5. Finish


Sekarang bagaimana membuat Pesan saat akan shutdown, begini cara nya :
1. Klik kanan pada desktop, kemudian pilih new => shortcut
2. Pada jendela create shortcut, ketikan shutdown.exe –s –t 10 –c “See U Again Dude…!!”
* Keterangan :
Kata " See U Again Dude...!! " bisa diganti dengan apa yang di sukai.
3. Jika sudah klik Next
4. pada jendela berikutnya, ketikan nama shortcut agan ini
5. Klik Finish Jika sudah 


Bagaimana Cara Shutdown Otomatis? ikuti cara dibawah ini :
1. Klik menu start => Run
2. Pada tab open, ketikan : tsshutdn XX/powerdown
3. Jika sudah klik OK, akan muncul jendela konfirmasi
4. Klik OK pada jendela pop up tersebut
5. Minimize jendela DOS yang muncul ( jendela DOS jangan di-close. Jika di close maka timer tidak akan berjalan )
* Keterangan :
tsshutdn(spasi)XX/powerdown
XX = (waktu yang agan inginkan dalam detik)
Maka dalam waktu 1 jam (3600 detik) computer agan akan dimatikan secara otomatis. 

Cara membuat shortcut Logout, caranya seperti ini :
1. Klik kanan pada Dekstop, kemudian pilih new => shortcut
2. Ketikkan shutdown.exe –l –t 00
3. Langkah selanjutnya sama dengan langkah- langkah agan membuat shortcut untuk shutdown.

Cara membuat shortcut Shutdown, caranya :
1. Kli kanan pada Dekstop, kemudian pilih new => shortcut
2. Ketikan shutdown.exe –r –t 00 pada jendela create shortcut
3. Langkah selanjutnya sama dengan langkah-langkah anda membuat shortcut untuk shutdown dan log ou.
 
Mematikan Service Secara Cepat, caranya :
1. Masuklah ke registry editor dengan mengetikkan regedit pada menu Run
2. Carilah key ini HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE => SYSTEM => controlset001 => Control
3. Lihat pada jendela sebelah kanan, disana agan akan menemukan string waittokillservicetime . Klik ganda string tersebut, sehingga akan muncul jendela edit string, pada tab value data, ubah angkanya menjadi 3000 (3 detik)
4. Klik OK, dan Restart Komputer Anda
Untuk selanjutnya windows tidak akan menunggu lama untuk mematikan secara paksa service yang tidak dapat dimatikan oleh windows saat shutdown. Windows cukup menunggu 3 detik setelah itu service tersebut akan segera dimatikan secara paksa

Menutup Program Lebih Cepat, tutorialnya :
1. Masuklah ke registry editor dengan mengetikan regedit pada menu Run
2. Cari key berikut ini HKEY_CURRENT_USER => Control Panel => Dekstop
3. Lihat pada jendela sebelah kanan dan carilah string waittokillapptimeout jika sudah ketemu klik ganda string tersebut
4. Akan muncul jendela pop up string edit. Pada tab value data, ubah angkanya menjadi 5000 (5 detik) atau 3000 (3 detik), klik OK jika sudah
5. Setelah itu pada jendela yang sama carila string autoendtask, klik ganda string tersebut jika sudah ketemu.
6. Akan muncul jendela edit string, pada tab value data, ubah nilainya dari 0 menjadi 1
7. Restart computer.
Kini windows anda akan segera menutup program dengan segera tanpa harus menunggu begitu lama.
